🏛️ Historical Background
Bodwad Taluka was formerly a part of Bhusawal Taluka. It was officially established as a separate taluka on 26th June 1999.
Jalgaon district holds an ancient legacy, having once been part of a region known for its cultural richness. The area has seen the rule of dynasties such as the Vakatakas, the Faruqi rulers, the Nizams of Hyderabad, and later the Marathas. In 1906, the Khandesh region was divided and East Khandesh came into existence, leading to the formation of present-day Jalgaon. With the reorganization of states in 1956, it became part of the Bombay State and later, in 1960, was included in the newly formed Maharashtra.
