🎯 Scheme Objective:

🟢 To provide a fixed income support to small and marginal farmers.
🟢 The scheme has been implemented by the Central Government from 01 December 2018, with revised implementation in Maharashtra from 15 June 2023, as per government resolution.


👨‍🌾 Eligibility Criteria:

🔹 Farmer families (husband, wife, and children under 18 years) owning cultivable land as of 01/02/2019 are eligible.
🔹 Land records must be updated, Aadhaar must be seeded, and e-KYC must be completed.


💰 Benefit – ₹6000 per year

Eligible farmer families receive a total of ₹6000 per year, transferred directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments:

🌾 Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)

🎯 Scheme Objective:

🔹 To provide insurance coverage to farmers for crop loss due to unforeseen adverse events such as natural disasters, pests, and diseases
🔹 To ensure farmers’ financial stability even in adverse conditions


🌟 Key Features of the Scheme:

✅ Applicable only for notified crops and areas
Voluntary for both loanee and non-loanee farmers
✅ Farmers cultivating on leased land or tenancy are also eligible
70% risk coverage set for all crops
₹1/- per application as registration fee
✅ The remaining premium is subsidized by the state government


💰 Liability of Insurance Company and Government Participation:

📌 Insurance companies will provide compensation up to 110% of the premium collected in a year
📌 If losses exceed 110%, the government will bear the excess
📌 In case of under-compensation, 20% liability is on the insurance company, and the rest is refunded by the state government

💧 Farm Pond on Demand – Individual Farm Pond


🎯 Objective of the Scheme:

  • Around 82% of agriculture in the state is rain-dependent, posing a risk due to uncertainty

  • Uneven and erratic rainfall results in reduced yields and crop loss

  • To store runoff rainwater, farmers can construct farm ponds

  • This ensures sustainable irrigation capacity and helps prevent financial losses to farmers


👨‍🌾 Eligibility Criteria for Beneficiaries:

✅ The farmer must have a minimum of 0.40 hectares of land in their name
✅ The land must be technically suitable for constructing a farm pond
✅ The farmer must not have availed government subsidy for a farm pond earlier

  5. After completing the application, selection is done via lottery

  6. After receiving SMS notification, upload the necessary documents

  7. Get pre-approval from the Taluka Agriculture Officer

  8. After technical guidance, complete the excavation of the farm pond

  9. Submit the site inspection report and completion certificate

  10. Subsidy is credited directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through PFMS system

(Special Scheme by the State Government – For Fruit Orchard Plantation)


🎯 Objective of the Scheme:

To assist farmers who are not eligible under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) for fruit orchard plantation, with the aim of enhancing their income through fruit cultivation.


Eligibility Criteria for Beneficiaries:

  • All farmers not eligible under MGNREGA

  • 7/12 land record must be in the farmer’s name

  • Only individual farmers are eligible; institutional applicants are ineligible

  • Drip irrigation installation is mandatory

🎯 Objective:

To promote water conservation, increased crop yield, and sustainable farming by using micro-irrigation systems (Drip and Sprinkler irrigation).

📌 Objective of the Scheme:

The primary aim of this program is to:

💰 Financial Assistance:

  • 30% subsidy on the total cost of plant & machinery and technical civil work, up to a maximum limit of ₹50.00 lakh

  • Subsidy calculation ratio for plant & machinery and construction: 60:40

  • Credit-Linked Back-Ended Subsidy, disbursed in two equal installments:

    • First Installment – after project infrastructure is completed

🎯 Objective of the Scheme:

  • To provide financial and infrastructural support to micro food processing enterprises

  • To empower Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and cooperative institutions through access to credit, branding, marketing, and training

  • To strengthen research and training institutions in the food processing sector


🔍 Key Features of the Scheme:

🏷️ Projects are encouraged under the “One District – One Product (ODOP)” initiative

💰 35% subsidy (up to ₹10 lakh) for eligible projects

📌 Non-ODOP products are also eligible for benefits

📘 No minimum education requirement

Maharashtra Right to Service Act, 2015

The Maharashtra Right to Service Act, 2015 was enacted to ensure that citizens in Maharashtra receive notified services from the government and all public authorities under its jurisdiction in a transparent, efficient, and timely manner. The Act came into effect on April 28, 2015. The primary objective is to ensure that citizens receive services in a hassle-free and timely manner.

To oversee, coordinate, and regulate the delivery of these services and to suggest improvements, the Maharashtra State Right to Public Service Commission has been constituted under the Act. The Commission comprises one Chief Commissioner and six Commissioners. The Commission’s headquarters is located at the New Administrative Building, opposite Mantralaya, Mumbai, with offices of Commissioners at the headquarters of the respective departments.

If a citizen does not receive services within the stipulated time frame or if the service is denied without valid reasons, they can file an appeal to higher authorities at the First and Second Appeal levels. If still dissatisfied, they can escalate the matter to the Commission through the Third Appeal. A penalty of up to ₹5000 can be imposed on the concerned official for non-compliance.
