This branch addresses the preparedness and administration related to resources of the district like water, fodder, natural disasters and accidents.
The objectives/work scope of the branch are
* Planning of supply of water from dams/rivers for the use of the public.
* To plan for scarce resources and implement the plan.
* Administrative approval for proposals from Zilla Parishad for temporary water supply, digging of wells, dredging of wells, acquisition of wells, etc.
* upkeep of record of ground water resources and water level.
* Acquisition of private wells for drinking water for public.
* Supply of water by tankers in water scarcity period.
* Planning and implementing works for prevention of floods.
* Collection of money by DD for CM disaster relief fund for aid of disaster affected persons/areas.
* Reporting of losses in times of disaster.
* reporting of status of agriculture crops and any re-sowing due to unavailability of rainfall.
* Planning for ensured supply of fodder for cattle.
